I remember the day clearly: it was senior year of college and I was strolling around the local mall like I normally did.  The San Diego sun was shining bright and the cool ocean breeze blew through my hair as I pranced around my favorite place. I popped into my favorite budget friendly store at the time, Cotton On (and still is one of my favorites), and made direct eye contact with it.

On a hanger, stood the most beautiful blouse I had ever laid eyes on.  Black print and white dots, a 3/4 length sleeve, and a lightweight blouse material.  I quickly fell in love and brought it home with me.

Thus began my love affair with polka dots.

Ever since that fateful day 6 years ago, I’ve been obsessed with polka dots.  There’s something about the print that just screams classic and chic.  Polka dots have seemed to have made a resurgence this fall and I am 100% for it! Today, I am sharing 3 different looks featuring one of my favorite prints: POLKA DOTS!

Outfit #1: The Polka Dot Dress

Apologies for the semi-blurry shots! My camera was acting real funny this day and I could not figure out how to fix it! Anyway, this dress is definitely one of my favorites for fall! I think the dots are a great size–sometimes the print can either be too big or too small.  I found that this print was complementary for my size and I love the sleeves of the dress too! You can’t see it here, but the sleeves are like batwings. This dress is unfortunately sold out but here are some other fun options:

Jean Jacket from Old Navy; $36.99

Satin scarf from Cotton On; $7.99

Velcro sneakers from Target; $27.99

Outfit #2: Polka Pants!

Can you believe that I bought these pants 5 years ago?! I remember buying them after the summer of my first year of teaching.  They were $14.90 at Forever 21 and one of the best investments I’ve ever made! While they don’t have this exact pair anymore, there are tons of other polka pants out there!

The Doors graphic t-shirt from Cotton On; $14.95

Jean Jacket from Old Navy; $36.99

Outfit #3: Polka Dot Jumpsuit!

Okay, so this jumpsuit was a total risk–it’s from Amazon and the reviews were mixed! BUT, I’m in love with the style! I’m a sucker for the ruffle sleeves and the red print is just too darling. It’s also under $20! Buy it here!

The cut of the jumpsuit is a little low for me so underneath I’m actually wearing a bra that True and Co. sent me a few weeks ago! It’s perfect for those low cut tops because it gives me that extra coverage without having to wear a whole shirt underneath.  It’s literally the most COMFY bra ever because it feels so lightweight. It’s also super smooth so there’s no seams that show through! Thank you  True and Co.! You can buy it here. 🙂

I’m rocking my favorite sandals from Dr. Scholl’s and if you don’t have a pair, you need them now. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–these are like pillows for your feet!

Have I convinced you that you need some polka dots in your life yet?  It’s an instant mood lifter for me and makes me so happy wearing them! I love how you can wear polka dots in different forms–from dresses, to pants, to jumpsuits–there’s a little variety for everyone! What’s your favorite way to rock polka dots? Let me know in the comments!
