life and style

Haha, okay, I thought the title was pretty funny. *pats self on the back*

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I’ve recently partnered with CaseApp to host my very first giveaway! I’m so excited because CaseApp allows you to customize your phone cases or laptop skins and has some of the cutest designs.  From floral prints, to cute catch phrases, to your favorite fruits, there is a case for everyone.  CaseApp generously gifted me a phone case and a laptop skin…and I promise you the hardest part about this will be selecting the one you want.  It personally took me hours to decide on the one I wanted!

I opted for this fun floral case because I liked the color scheme and  the designs of the flowers. For my laptop skin, I chose a pink marble color and customized it with my initials.  I love all things marble and love pink so this skin is the perfect design! Application is easy as it’s essentially a big sticker you place over your laptop.  It gives your laptop a fun new look and is super chic!

The cases are easy to put on and take off, unlike some brands, and have endured a couple drops to hardwood floor already. (Yikes, I know).  I’m picky about my cases and this is a brand I would definitely recommend to others for not only the designs but the quality!

If you’re in the market for a new laptop skin or phone case, you’re in luck! I’ve got a 20% off code for you: Use “ALYSSAMARIE20” when you check out.  Start designing now and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

And as a side note, I do not earn commission on this–just passing the code along to you all because they were kind enough to create one for my followers and I! Hope you all enjoy!

The dust has settled and it’s been officially a week since my cross country move to California!  What an absolute whirlwind it’s been.  From wrapping up the school year,  saying my goodbyes (or “see you laters”), to packing up my entire apartment and selling all my furniture, and to making the trek across the country…it […]

I’ve been putting off this blog post for a while now, and I guess it’s time to come clean. I’ve been a little MIA on this blog because I’ve been dealing with so much personally…and well…that’s because… In exactly six days, I’ll be making the move 3,000 miles back to California! *cue Biggie song* I’m […]

You can’t love others until you love yourself. You deserve love. Love yourself the way you want others to love you. These “love thyself” statements are thrown around in what seems every magazine article and every conversation these days.  But what does loving yourself and true self love actually look like? How can we actively practice self love? […]

Today is January 15th, which means we are officially half way into the first month of 2018! I figured this is a great opportunity to check in about how I’m doing on my commitments I last posted and to keep myself grounded on the path I want to keep going on. At the beginning of […]

I was once told that if I was an emoji, it would be this one:  At first, I thought…really? Just because we share the same eyes? ….kidding. He said that the emoji reminded him of me because of my positive energy and optimism. And you know what, I kind of have to agree. You see, […]

Hold up–can we just appreciate the alliteration in my very first blog post.  Yeah, that’s the writing teacher in me…I just can’t help it. 🙂 I figured that my very first post would be about why I’ve taken the plunge and decided to start this thing.  As much as entering my late twenties has induced […]
